Purple Heart Academy

On February 25, 2014, Northwood Temple Academy was recognized by the Military Order Of The Purple Heart as a Purple Heart Academy. It was the first private school to be recognized as a Purple Heart Academy by the Military Order Of The Purple Heart and to this day remains the only Purple Heart Academy in NC.

Superior Band

Since 2008, Northwood Temple Academy’s Band has earned and maintained a Superior Rating from the Association of Christian Schools International at their Southeast Band Festival.

Since 1997, Northwood Temple Academy’s Band has earned and maintained a Superior Rating from the North Carolina Music Educators Association at the North Carolina School Music Contest Festivals.

Readers’ Choice Award Finalist

Since 2016, Northwood Temple Academy has been a Top 3 Finalist in the Best Private School Category of the Fayetteville Observer Readers’ Choice Awards. In that same time, NTA has had numerous other Top 3 finishers in the Best Preschool, the Best School Principal, and the Best Band Director Categories.

National Honor Society Charter

Since February 26, 2014, Northwood Temple Academy has been a charter school for the National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society. This national recognition is given in honor of the scholarship, leadership, service, and character present at NTA and is awarded by the National Association of Secondary School Principals’ Board of Directors.

Championship Level Athletics

Since its inception, Northwood Temple Academy has been a school of champions. Our student-athletes and their teams have won numerous Conference and State Titles in Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, and Soccer.
